How To Be Saved

Salvation Is For Everyone, Because All Have Sinned.

Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God"

Romans 5:12 - "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned"

According to these verses, you are a sinner two ways: First, we see it is due to one man, Adam's, sin; We would love to all blame Adam, that is just the human in us, blame someone else so that we feel excused! However, the second part says, "for that all have sinned". This means that we are accountable because WE are part of that "all" that have sinned. It is not just Adam's fault that you have come short of the glory of God, it is your fault too!

Sin Has a Penalty

Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death..."

Ezekiel 18:4 - "Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die."

The Penalty for Sin is "Death", as we see in the above verse, that is not speaking of "Physical Death", everybody goes through that. It is dealing with the Death of the "Soul". This type of "Death" is defined:

"In theology, perpetual separation from God, and eternal torments; called the second death."

(Dictionary of the English Language, Noah Webster, 1828)

This type of "Death" my friends, is the worse possible scenario. Can you imagine the anguish of eternal torments? Especially knowing throughout eternity that you could have chosen "Salvation" instead of this "Death"? Friend, the choice is yours, be careful how you choose!

Salvation will Require Self-Examination

2 Corinthians 13:5 - "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?"

My Friend, It is so very important for you to come to grips with the fact that you are a sinner. If you examine your life simply based only upon the Ten Commandments, you will have to arrive at the conclusion that you have not obeyed all of them all of your life (let alone the hundreds of other Commandments in Scripture).

James 2:10 - "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."

Romans 3:19 - "Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Without Salvation, we are ALL under the Law, and if we have violated ONE law, we will be found Guilty!

Thus, my friend, you have come short of the glory of God, and shall be found guilty, and shall receive the "Death" sentence!

The Bible clearly tells us to examine our own selves. if we fail to willingly examine ourselves, our lives will be examined on that Judgment Day!

Revelation 20:12 - "And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works."

If you were to be judged today friend, what else could the verdict be? It MUST be GUILTY!

How then Can One Be Saved?

Jesus Is The ONLY Way to Salvation!

John 14:6 - "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Acts 4:12 - "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

John 3:17 - "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

Religion cannot save you. Good Works cannot save you. ONLY Jesus' shed Blood, Death, Burial, and Resurrection can save you. It is the ONLY payment possible for us to be saved eternally. So, How can one receive that payment?

Jesus Requires Repentance

Luke 13:3 - "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."

Acts 17:30 - "And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent"

Mark 1:15 - "And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

"Repentance" means the changing of ones mind brought on by a Godly sorrow for your sin, and willingness to turn from sin to Christ.

2 Corinthians 7:10 - "For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death."

This is not talking about an "Oops I got caught" sorrow. Rather, when you, through hearing the Word of God, realize that your sin is an offense to The Righteous and Holy God, and you are remorseful over that offense, your mind changes about sin, it now becomes exceeding sinful in your eyes, you no longer see it as acceptable behavior, and you turn to Jesus Christ in Faith to receive forgiveness for your sin. Your desire changes, you now want to live how the Bible says you should. This is called repentance. (not that your works changed, but that your will changed).

True Repentance Results in True Faith

Acts 20:21 - "Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ."

Hebrews 6:1 - "Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God"

Regardless to who you are, you MUST have Repentance AND Faith to be saved! Repentance and Faith are like the elements of water. To have water we must have both Hydrogen and Oxygen (H20). If all we have is Hydrogen, it is not enough; if all we have is Oxygen, it is not enough. Unless we have both elements we will not have water, and without water there can be No Life! Much the same, A Faithless Repentance is not enough, nor is Unrepentant Faith enough. Without both there can be no Salvation, and without Salvation there can be No Eternal Life.

  • Biblical Repentance will turn us away from dead works and toward God.
  • Faith is in the Blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary as our only hope to remit our sins. That Faith makes us recipients of God's Grace!

Ephesians 2:8-9 - "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."

My friend, if you could Work your way to Salvation, then you would have boasting rights, and Jesus would have died in vain. This is Why we must come by True Faith in Jesus Christ as your ONLY hope!

Romans 3:27 - "Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith."

True Faith Produces Then True Works

Ephesians 2:10 - "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."

You see friend, when we are truly repentant, and our desire becomes to live according to the Bible, and we come to Jesus with that true faith, our works will begin to be according to what God hath ordained in His Bible! The more we read what God desires, the more our desires become like His!

Would You in Faith, Call Upon Jesus Today

Friend, if you believe the Gospel truths presented here-in; If you are truly remorseful for the offense your sin has been to God; If you are willing and desiring to live your life God's way; If you Believe that Jesus is the ONLY way to Salvation: Then would you be willing to call upon the Lord Jesus to save you, and put your trust in Him as Lord?

Romans 10:9-10 - "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Romans 10:13 - "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."

Isaiah 55:6-7 - "Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon."

You Will become a New Creature In Christ!

2 Corinthians 5:17 - "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."

Friend, did you get that? You will become a "New Creature"! You will no longer be guilty of the sin of your past life! You will now have a new desire to no longer live that life of sin, but to conform yourself to the Word of God.

The Bible does not teach that repeating a prayer will get you saved. God desires to hear from your mouth what is in your heart concerning these truths. Friend, right where you are, and in your own words, call out to God. Tell Him what's on your heart. Ask Him to forgive your sin, and to save you through the Blood of Jesus Christ!

My friend, he is waiting for your response....
